Privacy for Greenveil web and mobile

This page describes the current Greenveil consumer experience as shipped in the repository and release flow on March 16, 2026.

Greenveil helps people search products, scan labels, inspect ingredients, and save account preferences across web and mobile.

What Greenveil stores

Account details you provide through Firebase sign-in, such as your email address and display name.
Profile settings, saved items, recent analysis history, and account preferences you choose to keep in sync.
Label uploads and scan results needed to process ingredient analysis and keep reviewer workflows auditable.
Operational logs and basic diagnostics needed to keep the service reliable and investigate failures.

How that data is used

To authenticate your session across Greenveil surfaces.
To return saved products, recent reads, and your default consumer lens on web and mobile.
To process label scans, route uncertain matches into review, and improve result quality.
To secure the service, monitor abuse, and troubleshoot product issues.

What Greenveil does not do

Greenveil does not sell your personal information.
Greenveil does not use your uploaded labels or account state for third-party advertising.
Greenveil does not require sign-in just to browse public product and ingredient views.

Retention and controls

Saved items, profile settings, and recent analysis history remain attached to your account until you remove them or close the account.
Uploaded label images and derived scan records are retained for product processing, auditability, and reviewer follow-up where needed.
You can manage synced preferences and saved state directly from your Greenveil account surfaces.

Scope

This policy covers the currently deployed Greenveil consumer web app, the mobile app release flow, synced account state, and the hosted API paths used for search, saved items, recent analysis, and scan processing. It does not promise features or data collection beyond the product flows that are live today.
